Some problems do not need a discount. They need a different response.
When life becomes difficult, it is tempting to negotiate with reality. You might think, βI have already been through so much. Canβt this problem be a little easier?β It feels reasonable. After all, you have survived difficult days before.
But problems do not care how loyal you have been.
You can be disciplined for years and still face failure. You can make good choices and still lose something important. You can work hard and still wake up to another problem waiting for you.
That does not mean life is unfair. It means difficulty is not a reward system.
The more useful question is not, βWhy is this happening to me again?β It is, βWhat can I do with what is in front of me?β
That small shift changes your position. Instead of waiting for circumstances to become kinder, you begin looking for the next move. You stop spending all your energy asking for an easier version of the situation.
Maybe the problem will take longer than expected. Maybe the answer will require patience, courage, or a decision you have been avoiding. You do not have to enjoy the process. You only need to face it honestly.
Life may not give you a discount because you have been through enough.
But you can become stronger at handling the full price.
