Sometimes, being alone has nothing to do with hating people. It simply means you have learned how peaceful life can feel when nobody is asking you to perform.
Crowds can be enjoyable. Conversations can be meaningful. But constant noise can also make it difficult to hear your own thoughts. After spending too much time trying to keep up with everyone else, silence starts to feel different. It becomes a place where you can finally breathe without explaining yourself.
Being alone gives you space to notice small things you usually ignore. Your mood. Your thoughts. The decisions you keep postponing. Even the parts of yourself that disappear when you are busy trying to fit in.
That does not mean you should reject everyone around you. Healthy solitude is different from isolation. You can care about people and still need distance from them. You can enjoy company and still choose a quiet evening by yourself.
The real question is not how many people are around you. It is whether you feel comfortable being yourself when nobody is watching.
If solitude gives you clarity, protect some of it. Take a quiet walk. Put your phone away for a while. Sit somewhere peaceful and let your mind settle without forcing an answer.
You may discover that being alone was never the problem. Perhaps you simply needed a place where your thoughts could finally speak clearly.
